The Threshold: A Women's Retreat for Rest, Renewal & Reimagining
There comes a season in every woman's life when the old ways of being no longer fit, yet the next chapter hasn't fully revealed itself. There are moments in every woman's life when she finds herself at a crossroads, not because she is lost, but because life is asking her to choose a new direction with intention and courage.
Join us for four nourishing days on Bearwallow Mountain in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Designed specifically for women navigating life's transitions, this intimate retreat offers space to pause, reflect, and rediscover your inner wisdom surrounded by the quiet beauty of nature.
Our retreat takes place on a secluded, family-owned mountain sanctuary nestled among towering poplar trees, lush forests, and sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The land itself carries profound significance. First stewarded by the Cherokee and Catawba indigenous people, it is crossed by the Eastern Continental Divide, a place where waters flow in different directions, symbolizing the choices and turning points that shape our lives. Indigenous communities have long regarded this ridge as sacred, a place for reflection and important decisions. It is a fitting setting for women standing at their own crossroads.
We'll gather in an open-air pavilion amongst the changing leaves of Fall, where fresh mountain air accompanies our yoga, meditation, and workshops. Cozy cabins, expansive lawns, covered porches, and inviting indoor spaces offer plenty of room to rest, journal, connect, or simply be still. With direct access to the Bearwallow and Trombatore Mountain trails and only a short drive from Asheville, the land itself becomes part of our practice, grounding, inspiring, and gently reminding us that transformation unfolds in its own time.
This retreat isn't about finding all the answers. It's about creating space to ask the right questions.
Whether you're navigating an empty nest, career shifts, menopause, relationship changes, grief, new possibilities, or simply sensing that life is calling you toward something more authentic, you'll be held in a supportive community of women who understand what it means to be in-between.
Together we'll practice yoga, mindfulness, meaningful conversation, quiet reflection, and time in nature. We'll honor what we're ready to release, cultivate clarity for what wants to emerge, and remember that uncertainty isn't something to fix, it's often where our deepest growth begins.
If you're standing at a threshold, wondering what's next, this retreat offers a place to breathe, reconnect, and trust the wisdom already within you.
Come rest. Come reflect. Come rediscover yourself.

I’m Sara…a recovering people pleaser, workaholic and perfectionist. I found yoga, mindfulness and mediation while I was battling with Postpartum Depression and Grief. I am an ICF certified mindfulness coach working with people who are doing transformational work either in their personal lives or collectively in the world around them. In addition to being a life coach, I am a trauma- informed yoga teacher and have earned additional certifications in grief yoga and leading women’s circles. I am the co-founder of Meet us on the Frontlines, a grassroots non-profit organization that prepares, connects and empowers people to activate on the frontlines of community.
