The Gathering-Wintering Edition
8 week gathering
Where winter holds you and spring invites you forward
January 12th-March 14th
The calendar year might say new, but what if our bodies and the earth are saying… not yet?
Modern culture frames the new year as a time for reinvention, urging us to fix or improve ourselves. But many of us arrive in January already tired, in a fog from the holidays and moving through the darkest months of the year with little energy to spare.
Rather than slowing down, we’re encouraged to set resolutions and push forward, forcing growth when everything inside us, and around us, is asking for stillness. I tried to live that way for years, and it never quite fit. Eventually, I began asking myself:
What if I did it differently?
What if rest came first?
What if there was magic in leaning into the darkness of winter?
What if nature was showing us the way?
Winter is not a season for reinvention. It is a season of rest, a time to pause, reflect, and realign. Nature reminds us that the true new year begins in spring, when the world is ready to bloom again.
As 2025 came to a close, a common theme became clear:
We are fried.
Our nervous systems are shot. We are living in a constant state of bracing for what comes next, tired of holding it all together and pretending everything is okay. Many of us are living in that messy in-between space of uncertainty, hearing the call for something new to emerge but not yet knowing what it is. We are exhausted, overwhelmed, numb, and in shared agreement that the last few years have been a lot!!
And yet, I also see something beautiful emerging.
We’re realizing we can’t move forward by doing things the way we always have. 2026 will require greater awareness around how we care for ourselves and where we place our attention. It will require permission to rest and say no to what no longer feels aligned. It will ask for intentional action, a deeper sense of community and purpose, and an honest reckoning with what this way of living is doing to us.
While we can’t fix or control everything around us, we can begin imagining a different way forward.
Partly inspired by Suleika Jaouad’s The Book of Alchemy and her belief that journaling can guide us through life’s most beautiful and difficult moments, this circle is for women who crave a slower, softer, more grounded start to the year. It’s for those giving themselves permission to breathe after the holidays, to move gently through January and February, and to step into their power in alignment with nature and the rebirth of spring.
The Winter Gathering invites you into a season of reflection, a time to listen, to restore and recharge in a space where nothing needs proving.
Whether you want to deepen your journaling practice or simply be held in community, this 8-week winter circle offers a nourishing container to move intentionally into 2026. Together, we will rest, reflect, reconnect, reorient, and reimagine—taking a long exhale in the quiet of winter before planting seeds of possibility for spring.
This is a community of wise women learning from and supporting one another, alongside a few guest facilitators I’ve met along my journey.
If you are not ready to take off for the races just because we’ve turned the page on the calendar, if you are longing for a new way to begin the year, to slow down, and to honor winter’s wisdom instead of the manufactured rush of the New Year, I would love to have you!

About Our Facilitators
The Gathering Facilitator- Sara Nelson
I work with people and organizations who are doing transformational work, in their personal lives and the world around them.
Nothing lights me up more than when I can support people in realizing their own power to create change.
Growth, authenticity and service are the values that guide me toward my vision of gathering those who are committed to reimagining new ways.
I found yoga, mindfulness and mediation while I was battling with Postpartum Depression and Grief. I promised, as I discovered these tools in my own recovery, I would learn how to share with other women. I am now an ICF Certified Life Coach, Yoga Teacher, Women’s Circle Facilitator, Empowerment Retreat Leader and the Co-Founder of Meet us On the Frontlines, a non-profit connecting individuals who want to make a difference with those on the frontlines of community care.
I believe we all have something that is needed in the world right now. A unique gift, skill, idea or vision given to us for a reason and love supporting women as they discover their own voice and power!
